Tripadvisor, the world’s largest travel platform, with hundreds of million users worldwide has just released its Travelers’ Choice Awards for 2022 and Rhodes holds the 3rd place among the top 10 trending Destinations for the year!
Despite the prolonged pandemic, people from around the world have been eager to return to travelling! According to Tripadvisor’s recent survey, more than 7 out of 10 respondents said that they are likely to travel for leisure in 2022 (78% of respondents in the UK, 71% of respondents in the US, 72% of respondents in Australia).

With a quick glance at the popular bookings website’s annual roundup of top destinations, it becomes evident that people are once again flocking to pack beaches up and down the European coast. Five of the top 10 trending destinations worldwide belong to the Mediterranean shoreline, including Rhodes and Santorini in the Aegean Sea, the Spanish island of Majorca, which took the top spot, as well as Dubrovnik, Croatia—often called the “pearl of the Adriatic”.
